Privacy Policy

At The Healthy You, we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information carefully. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who we are

The Healthy You is run by Sabrina Peters, a registered psychologist based in Brisbane, Queensland. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean The Healthy You. You can contact us about privacy at any time at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus basic technical information needed to run the website.

  • When you download a free resource or join our email list: your first name, email address, and the resource or topic you signed up for.
  • When you send an enquiry: your name and email address, and anything else you include, such as a phone number, organisation, event details or message.
  • When you buy a digital product: your name and email address. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • When you use the website: standard technical information such as your device, browser and IP address, which our hosting provider uses to deliver the site securely.

3. How we use your information

  • To send you the free resource or digital product you asked for.
  • To reply to your enquiry or speaking request.
  • To send emails you have opted in to, and to make them relevant to the topics you chose.
  • To process orders and provide customer support.
  • To keep the website secure and understand, in general terms, which content is most helpful.

We will only send you marketing emails if you have opted in, and every email includes an unsubscribe link.

4. Cookies and analytics

The website uses cookies and similar tools to work securely and to help us understand and improve it:

  • Google Analytics shows us how the website is used, such as which articles are read and which pages lead people to sign up. We look at this information in aggregate.
  • Klaviyo (our email provider) uses a cookie so that, if you have signed up to our emails, we can see which articles you read on the website. This helps us send you emails that suit what you are interested in.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tools may be used when we run advertising, to measure whether our ads lead to sign-ups.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run The Healthy You, and only for that purpose:

  • Klaviyo (our email list and email delivery)
  • Resend (delivering messages sent through our website forms)
  • Google (website analytics)
  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • Cloudflare (website hosting and security)
  • Meta (advertising measurement, when we run ads)

Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers who protect personal information to a standard comparable with Australian law.

6. Health information

This website is not a clinical service. Please do not send sensitive health information through our website forms or by email. If you would like to book therapy with Sabrina, sessions are arranged through M1 Psychology, which manages your information under its own privacy policy.

7. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link at the bottom of any email.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
